Wow that was amazing!
Thanks so much to everyone who supported me in my first ever London Marathon. The atmosphere all the way round the course was unforgettable, with huge crowds making noise from Blackheath to Buckingham Palace. It was amazing to have the support of the crowd, to see friends and loved ones there, to get messages from so many supporters, and to know that all you guys were supporting me. I ended up making it round in 5 hours 11 minutes – there was a bit more walking than running towards the end there, but I’m so proud to have been a part of such an incredible day. And more than that, I’m honoured by the generosity of you guys – my amazing Team Upstart supporters.
Thanks to the 28 awesome people who supported me, we’ll have raised more than £1,000 once Gift Aid is taken into account. All of this will go towards Upstart’s work supporting new and emerging artists to get amazing new shows made, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without you. It’s been an unforgettable experience, so from the bottom of my heart I just want to say thank you for all your support. It’s been an absolute dream.
