Giulia Scrimieri

After graduating in Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni, Giulia trained at Motley Theatre Design, and she is currently completing her Certificate of Higher Education in Dance at Birkbeck. She was costume designer for the opera “L occasione fa il ladro” (Royal Academy of Music),for the operetta “The Old Maid and the Thief “(Grimeborn Festival- Arcola Theatre), “The Maid of the Mountains” and “A letter to England” (Finborough Theatre), “Get Away” (Old Red Lion), “Waiting for Romeo” (Pleasance Theatre), for the dance piece “Oh Baby” (Resolution 2009-The Place, Laban, and winner of first prize at Kajaani dance competition in Finland, Cloud Dance). She designed the show “Erasing Julia” as part of an educational project in collaboration with Battersea Park School and Theatre 503. She was costume supervisor for “Magic Flute” (Gleeson Theatre Dublin), for “The Poisoned Kiss” (New Sussex Opera) and for “Frankenstein” (Love&Madness). She was assistant supervisor for “Bridgetower” (English Touring Opera), assistant costume designer for “La Boheme” (Southbank Sinfonia), for different fringe productions, for the short film “Morgan Flynn” (NFTS) and for the feature film ” Butterflies and Bullets “.
