Upstart Theatre's corporate training programme offers an energetic, challenging and fun environment that will stretch, inspire and build confidence among your team and have lasting benefits for your organisation.
Our innovative one day workshops give a team of up to 20 delegates from your organisation the opportunity to rehearse and perform with our skilled and experienced team of actors, directors and playwrights, working on such challenges as writing a play, devising a new piece of theatre from scratch, or rehearsing and performing in an abridged version of a Shakespeare play.
Taking part in our workshops will:
- Improve intra-organisational communication, including key listening, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Build confidence and self-worth among individuals in your organisation. As a team they will work towards a common goal in a short period of time with tangible and rewarding results.
- Create a safe environment where individuals can learn about themselves and each other.
- Develop creative and lateral thinking within your office.
- Illustrate the importance of taking calculated risks to progress as individuals and an organisation.
- Help promote trust and respect within your team and develop a sense of camaraderie and teamwork within the group.
Most workshops run from approximately 9.30am-5pm. The days consist of confidence and trust building, communication exercises, and the development of critical and performance skills.
Some days will also include a lunchtime performance.
After the workshop, delegates will be provided with photographs and a “review” for posterity. Delegates will be asked to complete their own self and group evaluations and encouraged to apply the skills, observations and knowledge learnt through the experience to their work environment. Evaluation and follow-up materials will be provided.
