ACT/REACT
Act/React is a series of four evenings of entertaining, daring and politically aware theatre that explores the faultlines between the present and the past, taking place at Theatre503 in autumn 2009.
Upstart commissioned four practitioners to develop an original piece of theatre with the starting point being one or more historical events that happened on the date of the performance. All shows were put together from scratch in less than a fortnight, giving a compellingly raw edge to each show as each new group of practitioners brings their own unique style and vision to the exploration of the faultines between yesterday's world and our own.
